They will do a different job. They will release faster. which isnt what they are designed for.

Yes. Pill form is just a handy method of getting the dose into your system.

they will, but they will tasty nasty as normally the outside is cellulose/glucose based which has no/sweet taste to disguise the active ingredients.

But this does depend on the drugs in question 99.9% fine - if special stuff ask the doctor.
 
If they are slow release ones, you will get the whole dose in one, not good. Try taking them with a flavoured drink or one of those pea shooters they use for horses.
 
I dont get how eating food isnt a problem, yet swallowing something that is about the size of a baked bean or something is causing you trouble.

glass of water and pill, i cant see it being THAT hard mate lol
 
I can't take anything when taking pills. I have a drink afterwards but can't have it before or it ends up sticking to the roof of my mouth.

It took me about 3 years to learn this so maybe you're just trying to hard with taking it with things. Try it without and see how you get on.

Other things I've been told are cover it in jam or smoothie to help it go down. My mum can only swallow pills if she puts one hand up in the air. It's probably just a mental thing but it helps her.
 
i tend to stick my tongue out as far as possible then drop the pill right at the back, then when i put my tongue back the pill is gone. Water to wash away the taste.
 
I had to take Malaria tablets recently for my hols... even though I put them at the back of my tongue, could always taste the aftertaste - made me gag!

Found the best things to take them with was Strawberry nesquik or chew a few jelly beans before and after.

Can't understand how some people manage to take them without a drink! Yuk!

half fill your mouth with water and then put the pill in your mouth and you shouldnt be able to feel it
 
I've always put the pill towards the back of my tongue, half-filled my mouth with water, clenched my teeth together and swallowed - can't feel it that way...
