I read this on the news today, showing short video clips of house fronts (doors and windows) being smashed in, police cars being bricked and civilian cars being torched. It was a bit cagey on the motive though. Do the houses / cars belong to gang members and they're being attacked by rival gangs?

No. Not unless 90 year old women are gang members.

The problem is that they're allowed to propagate and procreate. It's only ever going to continue in that area unless something is done about it.

I live about a mile away from where this occurred, and it was literally 30/40 teenagers and a few hangers on, ****** up on a street corner. Some of the news reports crying "riots" were massively hyped. Behaviour was bang out of order and hopefully more arrests will be made but I guess the media needed a story now violence in NI has subsided a bit and Coronavirus is not big news anymore.

Being ****** up on a street corner doesn't usually entail setting people's cars on fire, assaulting police, smashing peoples windows and kicking their doors in.
But OK, sure!
