Im going to swap my g/f sons ryzen 1400 with my 1700 to give him a bit of an upgrade. i want to keep the RGB stock cooler in my system. Is the ryzen 1400 stock cooler good enough for the 1700 not overclocked. I cant remember if they are the same size. His motherboard doesnt have the RGB header near CPU so no point him having it anyway

Ryzen 1700 came with the Wraith Spire Cooler the 1400 comes with a wraith stealth cooler which 8s not as good .
Just keep an eye on temps , could do some testing.

ok i just might put a post in wanted for the spire cooler to be safe. unless you know of any new coolers that come fix with the thread fixings and not the clamp
