Swaping in a new Motherboard

Hello,

I have Windows home server on a rig at the moment running fine, problem is that it only has 2 SATA connections and i need more. i have ordered a new board that will be compatible with my existing CPU and RAM.

When i swap the motherboards, will i have to re-install my operating system?

It is always best to do a fresh install of windows when installing a new motherboard.

out of interest would you say that the same applies when you upgrade power supply or ram ?
