Swapped cases now LAN not working

hi guys

i changed cases tonight now my on board lan has stopped working

my router doesnt detect it

the lights on the socket on the motherboard dont light up

windows device manager doesnt detect it

tryed playing in the bios made no difference

taken motherboard out and checked everything

any ideas?

fixed it

ide cable wrong way round on dvd drive

hope it hasnt caused any long term damage
