I’ve sold my Xbox360 Elite as I wasn’t using the Live features much, have a HDTV so wanted to get a HD player, obviously no point now so decided to get a PS3 as this gets me a fairly capable blu Ray Player, games console and media player all in one…
I got a GT5 Prologue pack, with Bluetooth remote and GTA IV and whilst the media playback is outstanding, wish MKV and OGG /OGM support was available natively I now have to ask a question..
Does this console not lock the v sync to the refresh of the screen? Running a Panasonic 42” 1080p plasma, HDMI and GT5 and a demo of Grid are screen tearing.
Never recalled my Xbox 360 performing like this with Forza 2 or Project Gotham, so a little off putting – to say the least…
Google searching, seems a few have complained about this. £300 for a console, and it seems developers are not locking the framerate, instead allowing the graphics to tear across the screen…… I’d rather a slowdown then graphical glitches…
On another note, is the dual shock controller for PS3 no longer out there, the six axis controller supplied is good, GTA IV is great with the tilt functions, a lot of fun, but I do like the rumble functions as well.
