Is it possible for me to swap my 4870 for a 4870X2 without uninstalling anything?

Surely if they use the same drivers this shouldnt be an issue.

I did the same and it worked ok, but for some reason in CCC I had Catalyst AI turned off and so the X2 was only using one core. Once that was enabled everything worked fine.

They use the same driver, so there's no actual reason why it would need a re-installation of drivers.

Is a 600w PSU enough for the 4870 X2 as my computer just switched itself off when i booted up crysis!

But it is fine around the desktop!

:D

See what others say but you should be ok m8. If buying from new though I'd say at least 700w to be on the safe side but others here have used 600w with no problems.

Some parts are worth a little overkill;) Psu is one of the most important parts of your system.
