Swapping a shuttle into a HTPC

Hopefully this should be a simple one. Will I easily be able to move the contents of a my shuttle, that is incredibly similar to this:



into a much more living room friendly case like this:

I appreciate that I might not be a straight swap, but I'm hoping someone might be able to point out any major stumbling blocks.

If I remember correctly the shuttle pc's use a custom motherboard, same size as a itx board but longer.

Because of this not 100% sure it would fit, I mean it would fit inside the case but if the mounting holes would line up that is another story. You best bet would be find a template of a ATX motherboard (they are standard) and see if the holes on your shuttle board line up with them.

*edit When I modded my 350d, I needed the mounting holes of a Extended-ATX board so ended up making a template. The holes for ATX and MATX are on there too.

If you print at 100% scale you will be able to check. If the holes on your motherboard line up with the standard mounting positions.

Awesome - thanks for your template. Sadly it appears as though all of the holes are out by about 10cm either way. Plus to further complicate matters the PCI slots are on the wrong side of the motherboard for a HTPC case (or all the ones that I've seen)
