Taking delivery of a new single oven later this week. Putting it in place of an existing double and adding a new shelf above.

The existing oven has its own 32A breaker on the board, and white "cooker" switch on the wall. This is then hard wired to the back of the oven via screws. The end to end wiring is correct gauge.

The new oven also requires hard wiring (no 13A plug) as its rated at 15.7A max.

Am I ok just to swap the ovens out and use the existing cable and breakers or do I need to change the fuse board breaker for a 20A?

Thanks!

Thanks, yeah that's about the same conclusion I came to. The manufacturers install guide suggests install min 15A, and max 20A. However, I cannot imagine a scenario where it would trip a 20A breaker, but not trip a 32A.
