Swapping Corsair RM650 for RM850 and reusing cables

I'm looking to swap my Corsair RM650 (5 year old) with a new Corsair RM850. I have bitfenix alchemy 2.0 modular cables currently. Am I able to just straight swap the psu units and reuse my cables?

The bitfenix website says the cables are compatible with the RM850 but reading around there is a lot of conflicting info about swapping psus and cable compatibility. Thanks.

Look on Corsair site and see what each Type your PSU's are (Type 3 or Type 4 AFAIR ok to mix).

It looks like at least the 24 pin is different which makes sense as the RM series was redesigned and much improved in 2019. Just change the cables over, it won't take that long.

Thanks for the replies guys. It seems I can reuse all my bitfenix alchemy 2.0 braided cables apart form the 24 pin which will need to be replaced with the one with the PSU.
