well, I've had my dell 24 " widescreen now for about 2-3 months....an di just dont seem to be getting on with it in games.
I was thinking about 2 19" tfts instead.......trouble is I run 2 GTX's sli, I heard somewhere that you cant do dual screens with SLI ?
Also I've never done dual screens before, can you play games on one screen, or both ? Ideally I want the game im playing on one screen and just me desktop on the other......or do i just turn off dual monitors when i wanna play ?

When ive played on 2x monitors before it just blanks the second screen, so i would normally play in a 1280x1024 window (if the game supports window mode) so i could use my desktop at the same time.

no selling / wanted posts outside of Members Market please. There is still a MM section, but you need 250 posts to access. It's in the FAQ if you need more details :)

There is a device Matrox do that will let you connect two monitors to a single output - the graphics card can be set to see the both as a single large display.

Not cheap, but together with 2 x 19", will still be less than a 2405.

Or hook up each monitor to a different card set up in SLI, but with the SLI disabled in the drivers, then when you want to play a game.. just hit a shortcut key to enable the SLI. This will then enable the SLI on the primary screen and blank out secondary screen.

My point regarding the Matrox unit was that few games support two distinct monitors at the same time. With this device, as far as Windows and any software is concerned, you are only using one monitor - everything is output to the one but split over the two monitors.
