A long time ago it was really dangerous to swap your motherboard for something different, it could cause all sorts of issues with Windows, and since those days I have always followed the philosophy - if you change the motherboard for something different ( different chip-set etc) then reinstall windows from scratch. But I have an old PC that was upgraded to Win 10 for free, so if I replace the motherboard with an entirely different one, then I have no choice ~ I have to attempt to run the PC without re-installing, or Microsoft will not unlock Windows. This is something I haven't tried to do for, oh, many, many years. I was just wondering, I am sure other people have tried this, what were the results?
