Swapping in my 4x 512MB for 2x 1GB

Hey,

What 2gb ram is good to get these days. Needs to be in 2x 1GB stick format.

Thinking if I sell my ram for roughly £25 a stick? Could I then spend £100 on 2x 1GB sticks or is it not worth the change?

3500+ 64 Venice AMD
2GB RAM (4x 512MB)
6800GT 256mb.

Hi, i made the same jump at the end of lasy year, i went from 2x512mb of Geil Ultra X to 2x1Gb of Geil Value. Haven't really noticed any difference, mind you i haven't played FEAR since the upgrade and didn't have BF2 untill recently. Benchmarks went down slightly i think due to slacker timings of the ram. Another factor would be how bloated your windows install is.

Oooops I ment to say 4x512 to 2x1gb. As I currently have 2gig but in 4x512 and I have herd that 2x1gb is better to go for.

4gb would be a bit over kill. Currently though I have to run in 2T as opposed to 1T.

Wondered if any gains advantages etc.. etc...

I would. Then I'd overclock at 1T and cas2 or 2.5

But how much would I get for 4x 512mb Samsung RAM. Less than 5 months old.

Perfect condition.

And what 2x 1Gb sticks of ram are good for cheap. Basicly nearest to £100.
