Hey all,

I currently have a Dell D630 which I use primarily to browse forums/the web. I'm tempted to get rid of it and replace it with a tablet as I don't use it for anything other than the above.

Have any of you done the same?

If so which did you go for? I'm tempted by either the tab 2 10.1 inch or the Note 10.1 .

I would show interest in the google nexus 10 but stock appears to be an issue :)

Thanks

Went for the ASUS TF101 with dock, now back to an M11x, just could not do what l wanted sadly, was a fine bit of kit.

Regards.

i thought about doing this myself, but all i ever do when i get hold of the missus nexus 7(not very often lol) is play games, mostly the same one(s), so dont even know what half the Apps are lol, yeah it seems fine for facebook and this site didnt look too bad on it and ebay seems aight, but i would want to have a proper computer for that stuff really, so what im going to do is either keep the laptop and get a tablet or get rid of the laptop and buy a mini pc or a small HTPC type thing for proper computer use and to start up gaming again alittle...

other than facebook games or flash games, i dont really do much on my laptop anymore other than normal browsing, i just know its nice to have a proper computer for tasks as the platforms are better laid out..

Tablets are addictive for gaming :D.

I use my Nexus 7 for consumption, browsing, movies etc. But it's a companion device for me. Hardcore browsing still done on my laptop, and computing on the desktop.

I personally had a Samsung Galaxy TAB 10.1 which I recently sold and purchased a new laptop. Personally for me Tablets are fine for small amounts of web browsing, FB/Twitter updates and watching videos but I missed being able to do pretty much what i wanted on a laptop while sat on the sofa.

i just brought a tablet(in sig) it was only 70 quid as for what i wanted it for i couldnt justify the extra cost, but i do still use my laptop(on it now) as the odd things arnt formatted for tablet/mobile use, so you need a computer for those extra things, however im going to do the opposite really and swap my laptop for a HTPC or mid tower desktop lol
