now all my life i have never understood widescreen... to me a 20" widescreen looks smaller than a 19" normal screen so im guessing i need a little convincing here :) basically as i know nothing about dells i want to know if this will be good for my needs which are hi resolution gaming and watching movies / TV and how much extra money i should give (as i dont know how much a second hand 2005FPW is worth...)

im thinking about swapping it + some cash for a Dell 2005FPW

What do you use your PC for?

If you do any design/development work using something like Photoshop or Visual Studio then Widescreen is a must have as far as I'm concerned. I prefer it over dual monitor!!

i design sign waves :p :D (i make music :) )

mainly its for gaming and PC use... so does anyone have any idea how much £££ i should hand over with my monitor ? my monitors in good condition with a full years on site warrenty left. no scratches beyond abit of dust.

Got...or had the same screens :)

I went from dual sharp LL191's to dual hans gruber 19" Widescreens. The difference and desktop space is quite scary. DVD's look a lot better too and webpages feel like they belong on widescreens.

Before and after

hmmmm im going to need a bigger desk...

any ideas on how much extra £££ to give with my screen ?

p.s. the lady on screen 2 has a problem.

It's an episode of Friends :p I had a nightmare trying to sell my sharp's. Managed to sell one for £90 but am still trying to get rid of the second. Hardly anyone wants 17" screens nowadays!

you gave me a heart attack for a moment!! I was thinking "£90 is waaaaay to cheap" but then i realised you were on about 17" screens :) mines 19"
