Going to replace my Zalman XT.

I think I may be trying to pus too much through the system as it uses 8mm tube and I have cpu and three gpus in the loop. It works fine but on the auto setting it doesn't want to move the fluid through fast enough so I have to run it on a manual setting. So I'm thinking of changing to a 'proper' pump/reservoir/radiator.

If I use 1/2" tube will that mean there will be a huge increase in the amount of fluid to be moved?

What's the advantage of 7/16" tube on 1/2" barbs?

Is it worth considering anything other than the Laing D5 Vario Pump -T12 pump?

Is it best to run the pump submerged?

Barb vs Compression fittings?

How do you calculate how much/many radiators?

Cheers.

Andi.

What's the advantage of 7/16" tube on 1/2" barbs? means there's a tighter fit pain in the ass to get it on. soak tube end in hot water

Barb vs Compression fittings? I started with barbs I'd use clamps but over tightening can cause leeks. changed to compression as I had a paranoia about leakage although a lot of peole use barbs it's really personnel preference although I'd never go back to them

Is it worth considering anything other than the Laing D5 Vario Pump -T12 pump?- dunno I've got a dual loop with two dcc 1 plus bit noisy I understand the vario has a speed setting switch to reduce noise but I've never used one do can't really comment

If I use 1/2" tube will that mean there will be a huge increase in the amount of fluid to be moved? I guess so will increase flow rate I spose. I used it as it looked good with the connectors etc

How do you calculate how much/many radiators?- depends on what componets you have. I run a 480 &240 rad with two pumps on the same loop with an i7 & 3.8 & a 5970 neither top 35 oc temp wise at load. I think just the 480would probably be more then enough by itself for mine but I had the other rad so I used it
