SWF to avi or mpg

Any one know of any FREE software to convert swf to avi or mpg? Or can the Adobe Flash Video Encoder do it?

If you mean flash video, then VirtualDub can do it with a little plugin.

Make sure you get VirtualDub 1.8, it's needed for the plugin.

I don;t want to convert into flv, I wnat to convert an swf into avi or mpg but was wondering, instead of getting another application to do it, why not ask the good folks at ocuk forums whether adobe cs3 flash video encoder (which is already installed on my pc) can do the job as when i import the swf file into that app i get the following message:

You won't be able to encode this file. Your computer doesn;t have the necessary codec or the file is corrupt.

If you mean convert a flash file itself, I don't know whether that's even possible.

I thought you meant converting from flv to avi/mpeg, sorry about that.
