I took the plunge with water at last and bought the swiftech kit on saturday and set it up in a few hours. I just have the radiator leant next to my pc for now with the side off.

Im not too imressed with temps Im getting though as my opty 165 is climbing up to 47deg and failing prime at 2.835Mhz when it was stable at 51deg @ 2800 with my arctic cooler. I was kind of hoping it would be around 40 deg, my room temp is only 15deg so im a bit puzzled. The water is very frothy and ive been told to leave the cap off the res for a few hours to let the air clear, 3 days on and its still frothy :( Could this be the problem ?

When Im priming all the water tuble, res and rad get warm to touch, is this normal ?

Does anyone have any tips to get my temps down.

Cheers

The rad is the one that come with the kit with duel fans ( as in this thread)
I can feel warm air coming through the radiator slightly, if i wet my finger .

I can try the sponge near the inlet, I will need to take the tubing off thre inlet, how do you use to get the tubing off the barbs? It was hard work getting it on after heating the tube in boiling water i cant see myself just pulling it off ?

I only got the water to lower my temps, Im not bothered about noise much.

10 mins at low speed did the job for the frothyness :) though theres still a frothy head on the res. Ive bumped it back up to full whack and it went a bit murkier so still some air in there. I found one of the barbs had started leaking before, luckily it was on the res and not the block, ill get the plyers onto them myself.
Now that main frothyness has gone my temps priming are 44 deg so thats 3 degrees cooler already :) duel priming at 2835 now for 42 mins, always failed at 21mins before (fingers crossed)

What duel prime temps are you getting with a duel core ?

I have given them a shake but no air seems to come out. I ran it overnight on the lowest pump setting and it was really clear when i got home from work, i then knocked it back up to max and its all gone cloudy again and the res has gathered a froth.
