Just a word of warning to anyone thinking of buying one of these, if your motherboard has a cluster of capacitors alongside the CPU socket chances are it won't fit as the coldplate has projections or 'ears' that stick out from each of the four sides, which the screws pass through to secure it to the main body, and when you try to tighten the unit down onto the CPU the one on the side rests on top of the capacitors preventing the coldplate from making contact with the CPU. Even if you try to orientate it differently it is the same on all four sides so it's still a no go.

Strange that no reviewer has encountered this problem so far.

I bought one to fit to my Gigabyte x58 ud5 and the only way l could get it to fit was to use a dremel tool and remove the 'ear' that was catching the capacitor and then countersink the screw hole in order to seat the screw properly. After all that it worked great as regards the temperatures but as there is no de-coupling the whine off the pump was unbearable so l've ditched going down the road of an all in one unit.

It's a nicely engineered piece of kit but Swiftech certainly haven't done their homework with regards to motherboard compatability.
