These any good?

Was looking at getting a decent HSF for my E2160 to see if i can push it above 3.1ghz (stock cooler hindering me)

But i have a bit of spare cash atm and was tempted to invest in a Watercooling setup... Silence is golden :) (or near silence)

And then i noticed this, seems resonably cheap was wondering if there anygood? Is it possible to add more coolers to the loop? i.e. vga and chipset coolers?

It's very loud at 12V, and quite audible at 7V. If you want silence buy a semi-passive cooler like a Thermalright HR-01 or a Silverstone NT06 lite if your PSU fan is in the right place.

Both these coolers use a existing 120mm fan in the system so they add no more noise to the system.

The HR-01 in the picture is about £35 and it gives about 80% of the performance of an Ultra 120 but it is totally silent. The rest of the system in the picture has a passive graphics card and a Tagan silent PSU and it genuinely is silent. The only thing you can hear is the optical drives spinning up.

Yes its good and its a good intro into watercooling, I have a build log using it here if you are interested.

But how quite is yours? The one I had was quite loud at stock and at 7V it was still quite audible. Definitely not silent.

im not bothered about it being COMPLETELY silent

just somewat quieter than my current 4 case fans and Tuniq Tower Setup.

I really, really, doubt it will be any quieter than your current setup. A few degrees cooler maybe, but no quieter.

Well, if you substitute use your current extraction 120mm fam with the swiftech kit, then you would take 1 fan out of the system, so it would be as quiet, or more quiet. But your temperatures might go up.

The concept is great, it's just that for £100 it could be a compromise too far.

Try it - it won't be worse than what you have, it just might not be a lot better.

I reckon for a custom setup you would be looking at another £50 notes. I know I've just blown a bunch on some custom kit for another two water cooled setups :) Those are quality parts as well including thermochill rads
