Hi there,

I've just ordered a Swiftech H20-120 Premium Watercooling Kit from OCUK, and i'm wondering if I'll still get good performance cooling both my 4000+ and my X1800XT from the single 120mm Rad? or will it be best just to cool the CPU?

If so I'll probably order my self a Swiftech MCW60.

Please advise. :)

The XT will pump out a lot of heat so i would be tempted to go for a dual rad

I would love to - but its all going inside a Super Lanboy, there's not a cat in hell's chance of me fitting one in there. If I get the single rad then I can just chop out the HD cage and mount it in the front intake. :)

As lovely as that rad looks, I'm a W\C noob - this is my first system, so going custom may be a bit of a large leap...

Could you not mount 2 x120mm rads? one front one rear?

My advice would be to try both blocks with the single 120.1 as it will work, the question is only how well. You won't get such good temps with a single rad but it will still be much better than air-cooling.

Swifty kits are nothing more than a box full of swiftech custom stuff anyway - you still have to do ALL the stuff you do with custom, ie clean the rads and blocks, cut up the tubing, leaktest etc.

So why not replace the rad with one that can actually cope with your rig instead of setting up a crippled loop?

I'm sure you can flog that single swifty off to someone who's looking for a 2nd rad and doesent know he wont get any advantage with a 2nd rad in-loop - ebay is full of nubs :p

Still no sure the pa 160 would fit the front intake though?

I've been trying to get through to OCUK all morning and its just engaged all the time. :(

Ah cheers for the template - i'll measure up. If it will fit i'll order myself one of these on payday. :)

I don't think it will though...

Don't want to hang a double off the back, as I want it all internal - it looks much nicer.

Okay - so I got my kit - going to be fitting it on Friday night.

Couple of questions though;

1. The plastic clasp things that clamp the tubing onto the barbs are made from plastic and look flimsy - should I buy some metal jubilee clips instead?

2. I am mounting my rad in the front intake of my Super Lanboy - should I still use the radbox shroud thing? and if so what order should the rad assembly be? - ie. fan>shroud>rad>fan.

Question 2 may not be very clear - please say if not and ill try explain better...

Wouldnt bother with the radbox.

Plastic clips shoudl be fine... I use jubilees myself, mostly because my pump has 3/4OD barbs and my T-Pieces are 5/8OD :D

But if he has the Swiftech kit he wont use those barbs so the plastic clips are more than good enough.

I used everything that came with the kit.But I got the Apex ultra swiftech kit.

Have a look at mine Here
