Would this be sufficient to cool a heavily overclocked dual core Opteron, northbridge and also an overclocked high end gfx card SLI setup? I don't have the SLI yet but if I move to watercooling I may as well allow for it.

or would I be better of making custom and 120.3 rad?

I wouldn't bother with northbridge either way personally.

Have you done watercooling before? For my first attempt at using water I went for the swiftech kit because it was much easier. All the fittings and tubing etc is supplied. If you know what your doing, I'd go custom. Would handle hot components better.

No, not done water before. But the reason I'm thinking of the nbridge is because of the placement of it. It's right under the gfx card. So I can't replace it with a Zalman or other large passive cooler. It already runs quite hot and I'd like to try to clock further.

Just noticed the Alphacool Cool Answer II 360. This doesn't have a nbridge waterblock but does have a 120.3 rad. How does this compare to the Apex Ultra+?

Alphacool rads are cheap HWLabs knockoffs, they dont compare to Black Ices or Swiftech MCR-QPs, let alone TC PAs... and the only good block from AC is the NexXxoS, the others are abysmal.
