Hi guys, i'm thinking of purchasing a Swiftech H2O 120 Compact Kit, just a quick question...is it ok to change the tubing to the DangerDen ClearFlex60? as i'm not keen on the tubing it comes with...and is this easy enough to do?

Kind Regards. N

Do a search on leaks - they're pretty much guaranteed to fail at the joint between the pump and the block. And then you get pretty green liquid all over your motherboard. Pretty hard to RMA when they put it under a UV light and it fluoresces.

 yikes....thats just been taken out the shopping cart, thanks for the heads up.

Think nothing of it - they have a great reputation, but their latest stuff is largely junk. If you can stretch to it, the H20-220 Apex kit is old-school Swiftech and it's actually quite good stuff.

I have had a 120 compact in my PC. I now use a Thermal Take Extreme 120 as it is quieter AND cools better. My Q6600 runs hot anyway. My rig idle at a mesured 50c. With the 120 compact the rig was at 55c. I can't recommend it. If you want to risk it and have one cheaper you can buy mine if you like. It's complete and has only had the fluid that comes with it running in it. My advise, from experience is it's rubbish.

My idle temps on a Q6600 @ 3.6 is 40,40,37,37

Load 59,59,51,51 I doubt its worht it for me really, well the cash outlay I mean?

hmmmmm ok decided to stick with air cooling until i can afford a decent water cooling setup.
Can anyone recommend the best air cooler around 115mm high..as can't fit much bigger in a mountain mods bobslay case, the motherboard i have is an asus maximus formula ..with an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 cpu.
The scythe mini ninja is the one i'm currently leaning towards....any help appreciated :-)

Or you could just go custom :)

I have this kit, its cack, went back to my scyth ninja cooler, yes its that bad :P

Will probably go back to water soon but with a decent custom setup.
