Swiftech H2O-220 Kit

yes it's good. the block is excellent, the pump is superb. the radiator is not the greatest but it's OK. the tubing will be 3/8" but that's no problem in reality and comes with compression fittings I believe.

It's extensible too as Swiftech sell excellent generic vga blocks or you can add from other vendors. it even comes with coolant.

Is it worth £220? The individual parts without the coolant and tubing would cost around £190 so that's £30 for it all coming in one box with tubing and coolant.

I think you could do better with custom parts but if you're a beginner this is a great kit which takes out any worries about compatibility of not having a crucial component. Has good instructions too.

Yeh i would agree with the above post, very handy for beginners to watercooling, i use the H20 - 120 version, and they are basicly like top end air really, nothing to special, but they do allow u to dip ur toe in the deepend of watercooling so to speak.

I agree that it is one of the best kits out there, but if you chose components separately then you will end up with a better loop. My loop cost me around £200 and that includes the NB block.

I can recommend the CPU block, and I have just got the micro rev 2 res.

Im really new to watercooling, so if someone could make a list of all the parts i need that would be great, especially if it saves me money

Depends what ur budget is. You need:

CPU block
Reservoir
Pump (some you can buy a Top which increases flow)
Radiator
Tubing
Fittings
Liquid

Would recommend some hose cutters and a funnel too.

That Apex kit basically is a custom kit, the only thing you'd change might be the radiator, but even then you'd need to spend a lot to better it. The tubing is 7/16" Masterkleer and again is about as it gets. The GTZ block is arguably the best on the market, as is the Laing D5 Vario pump and the MicroRes is a classic component that makes setting up and bleeding the loop very straightforward.

You won't better that kit unless you spend a lot more and it's a great introduction to water cooling.

Its a great starting kit!! I have the same, had it for a year.

Keeping my i7 @4.2 -load 70 idle 40 degs
