Title says it all are there more modern CPU water blocks that will give more effective cooling in a series loop?
Pumps a D5 so has the power to makes this jet type block work.

Are there charts to back that up?
My storms giving me load temps of 50'c under load on a g3258
5-10 degrees lower than that would be impressive!

Decisions Decisions which block to go for.

XSPC Raystorm or Heatkiller or EK Supremacy Evo

i7 4790 is on its way so that's what has to be cooled.

EK waterblock arrived today, what an awesome thing, the weight of it and the mounting system I think just shrieks quality. Looking forward to seeing if it performs as good as it looks.

Wow! Big temp drop circa 8 degrees but my GPU is now 5 warmer no doubt due to getting warmer water off the CPU !
Time to go two loops off the res me thinks.

Its now been folding at 4.4G at 1.16v core for 24 hours and the cpu temps are 57-62'c and he GPU also folding is 53'c so that plus 5'c on the GPU and a worst case single core CPU drop of 5 degrees but my hottest core at 62'c is about where the coolest of the four cores was under the Storm block.
Room temp somewhere between 26-30'c.
Was it worth upgrading hell yes!
