Swing arm Paint advice please

Hi Guys,

I taken the swing arm of my Honda XR 125 to change the Swing arm bearings (*not so Ninja edit)* for the MOT.

The swingarm looks a little abused (paint wise) and has pitting on it.

So I thought I would give it a re-paint in Black.

Can anyone advice me on paint and steps to paint the swing arm?

if you wanted it to last a long time get it powdercoated

otherwise you'd need some grey primer or etch primer if its aluminium and some black satin spray paint and then some clear laquer ontop

Why have you taken the swing arm off in order to change wheel bearings? But as above powdercoat will be best, something like that should only cost £20/30 if you have anyone reasonable around you, will give best finish and longevity. Failing that it's rattle cans or hammerite.

SORRY I changed the swing arm bearings not the Wheel Bearings
