Hey guys, I have a Q6600 sitting in a BTX Dell XPS700 here. I was considering a whole new processor, motherboard and memory in January. You see am currently stuck with my processor not being able to go beyond 2.6ghz because of my motherboard limitations my system resets randomly if I do something graphic intensive if I take the FSB beyond that.

I was wondering if instead of investing in a new chip should I Sell my XPS 700 case with BTX motherboard and CPU cooler left in. And invest in a ATX motherboard for overclocking my CPU. My CPU in a different setup has been running at beyond 3.4ghz and is a G0 stepping core, With a really low VID. But I currently only have 4gig of DDR2 667 Kingston generic ram. I also have 2gig of DDR2 800 XMS2 ram.

I was hoping with either set of ram I would be able to clock my processor to about 3/3.4ghz. So my question is can you recommend me a good motherboard with crossfire for overclocking my Q6600.

I was considering this cooler for my processor http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-002-CS

Also do you think either ram set will allow me to achieve that level of overclock or will I need to invest in better ram also. Or do you believe I should just invest in a new system in January instead?
