Switch on prism cooler?

Simply i just fitted a amd prism cooler and noticed a little switch with H / L
my other prism cooler doesn't have it or i cant see it in the case

what's it do?

Fan speed The Hi mode goes up to 3800 RPM. 3000 RPM is the low

makes sense. i assume it lower the full fan curve? like switching to a resistor
