A few months ago I would switch my PC on & get no POST.
I would have to press the reset button for it to POST second time round & then find 4 WHEA-Logger errors in event viewer.
Reported by component: Processor Core
Error Source: Machine Check Exception
Error Type: Internal Timer Error
Processor ID: 0, 2, 4, 6
Event ID: 18
Back then I had recently experimented with OCing my monitor (60 Hz to 65 Hz lol) so put that back to default & the issue seemed to disappear.
Last night the same issue came back so I'm wondering if the monitor business was a red herring. I removed the power to my PC for the night & let it charge down but the same has happened today again.
Any ideas?
I'm OCed to 4.0GHz with 1.35 CPU + QPI. The only changes my PC has gone through lately is a new GTX 970 + DELL monitor in the last couple weeks & more use than usual
