Can I chain switches together or will it cause issues?

Currently I have a netgear gs608 switch. I want to attach another switch to it, so I only need to have one network cable running down the hall instead of three.

So can I just stick another switch on the end of the one cable, then everything in that room connected to the second switch.

Thanks.

Will work fine. Just keep in mine the three devices are constrained by a single cable to the other switch so there's a gigabit max bandwidth between all of them. It's not likely to be an issue, but I'll put it out there.

Nope it won't cause any issues,

Depending on the switch you *might* need a crossover cable go to between switches, but most modern ones auto-detect, so it should just work,

Ok, thanks.

It's just my consoles and sometimes a laptop. So no where near maxing a gigabit link :).
