Hi,

I'm trying to find the cheapest solution possible to the switching for my iSCSI network.

I plan on using two stacked, 10GbE is required but i could make it work with 10Gb SFP+ ports. Only need to use 6 ports on each so an 8 port switch would be good (i can't find any 8 port 10GbE switches though, hence the thread)

The best switch i can find for the solution at the moment is a Cisco SG500XG-8F8T which has 8 x 10GbE and 8 x SFP+ but at £2150 per switch I'm hoping there might be something smaller and cheaper out there to fit my needs.

Any suggestions?

I've just looked into the XS708E and XS712T but unfortunately the tiny 2mb packet buffer size is a sticking point. Our storage supplier is worried that it'd be a potential issue down the line.
