I'd like a longer monitor cable, so I thought about an extension or replacement. I'm using DVI-B at the moment to connect my 580 GTX to a Dell U2412M.
It's also connected to the TV in my living room via a long HDMI cable.
There's a displayport connector on both the monitor and the video card.
I've never touched displayport before... but it would seem better to switch to it now since I'm replacing a cable.
Is there anything I need to look out for (other than expensive rip off Monster cables!)
