Switched from AMD to Nvidia colour difference

Switched from my R9 290 to 980Ti and installed the latest drivers (368.81) however the colours looks different than before which I already changed Output dynamic range to Full and played around with the desktop colour settings in Nvidia Control Panel but no joy as well as text seems to be a little bit blurry so I was wondering what settings am I missing?

When I had my R9 290, I connected both my monitors via DVI (graphics card) to HDMI (monitor) but on the 980Ti, I'm connecting both via DisplayPort (graphics card) to HDMI (monitor) so not sure if that is the problem?

Things that come to mind:

Is your refresh rate maxed?

Have you re-run the ClearType Text wizard?

In NVCP, have you tried both RGB Full, and YCbCr444? They produce very different results for me, although I know they shouldn't really (YCbCR444 looks definitively more vibrant, for some reason)

Yes, the refresh rate is set to the max 60Hz and is using native resolution.

I will give that a try but I thought RGB is for monitors and YCbCr is for TVs?

I thought that, and after some googling it seemed like the general consensus is that they're much of a muchness... but using RGB Full, my TV's Black Level setting has to be set to "Low" for colours to not look washed out, whereas YCbCr requires "High" black level to achieve the same effect.

I did notice a small difference in the dynamic range of the colour switching from a 290 to a GTX 970.

I think they just do display a small difference in image quality. but its not huge so there may be a problem.

This will be your TV dont support the Full RGB range so your black levels will be crushed.

It does, but both RGB Full and 444 require the specific HDMI input to be flagged as "HDMI Ultra HD Deep Colour". Without that setting enabled, they're both missing from NVCP.

Blacks are never crushed with RGB Full - they're either grey ("High" black level) or correct ("Low" black level). It's very easy to tell, with it being OLED, blacks are either indistinguishable from the screen's bezel or much lighter than it. I find it odd that 4:4:4 reverses the setting, though.
