Switching between my 22" screen & 32" TV

Hi,

I'll be connecting my TV up to my PC soon via HDMI to watch films from the PC on the TV.

The screen is 1680x1050 & the screen in PC mode is some strange resolution (can't remember exactly).

When switching to TV mode will it screw up the positioning of my icons every time?

IIRC you can set different resolutions for different screens under Windows, so I guess I can just do that?

You can set the resolutions seperately and enable and disable the screens seperately so there shouldn't be any issues at all.

I'll try a little later on - had a quick go earlier and could only find the option to extend the desktop to the TV.

Ah, now I remember. There's a right click menu on the screens in the Windows resolution options

extended or dualview imo is the way forward, simply drag your media player too the right hand side and enjoy.

I use too be a bigger fan of good ole clone mode or secondary video mirroring but then u sorta need FFW/rewind feature from the media player so this is when extended desktop too 2nd display is far better.

Maybe in future will get the popcorn player too enjoy my movies/tv properly
