hello.

i've currently got two Xilence Red Wing fans in my case.

i've ordered two akasa crystal red led fans.

i want the red glow but i much prefer the Xilence blades, they're just better quality than the akasa ones will ever be.

Question is, how hard is it going to be for me to remove the xilence blades and put them onto the akasa fan shell? as i'd love the best of both.

the fans are the same size and shape, so there's question about if they'd fit, it's just the seperation and reattachent...
 
easy to do just take of the sticker off of the back then remove the rubber plug then there is a nylon split washer pop that off with a small flat head screwdriver then the blade just slides out
 
agree with muel, they'd have to be identical not just similar. worth taking apart to have a look but doubt if they'll be compatible with each other.
if its a dead end you could always paint the blades or casing to get the effect you want
 
You could always mod the Xilence Red Wing fan and add some LEDs to it. You won't get the same glow as if it material was translucent but the effect is still on the good side of acceptable.

I also doubt if the two fan's blades will be interchangeable.
 
yeah its piece of p*** mate. just remove sticker of the back. and ull leave a lock onring just remove that. and then the blade with just slide off.
