Switching Computer On via Remote Control

Hi there,

I am having trouble setting up my PC to switch on via the MCE remote control.

It seems that when I put the computer into standby there is no power going to the IR receiver as there are none of the usual lights on it, because whenever you press a button on the remote a red light normally blinks on the base.

What am I doing wrong?

I think i have setup it up from the bios correctly, so I don't know what I am doing wrong.

Ah right, I have just read through the manual of my Motherboard.

It says the following:

Selecting 5VSB will alow you to use the USB keyboard or USB mouse to wake up the system.

If you are using the Wake-On-USB Keyboard/Mouse function for 2 USB ports, the 5VSB power source of your power supply must support > 1.5A. For 3 or more USB ports, the 5VSB power source of your power supply must support >2A

I wouldn't be damaging anything like the remote by using this option would I?
