Hello,

I've got a 24" Intel-based iMac (Core 2 Duo) and I'm about to upgrade into a custom-built PC.

I want to keep the screen size and want to get the best screen I can. I'm willing to spend up to £300 or a little more if it's really worth it.

As far as I understand my iMac screen is LED TFT.
- Is the Acer S243HL stocked here a worthy replacement? Any others?
- Are there any normal LCD screens that give the kind of visual experience an LED screen gives?

Any advice welcome!

Thanks

To match this screen quality you will need to look at comparable 24in+ IPS (and VA) panel monitors:

The Dell U2410 and HP LP2475w both use the same H-IPS panel which is very nice indeed, however there has been some pretty bad QC problems with these panels so you may need to swap it out a few times till you get a perfect one.

Nice! I'll go for the Dell U2410 after all - I think it's worth the money if it's like my Mac screen. I work on my PC a lot so have to cater for my eyes.

Now, if only it had built-in speakers??
