I have a GTX 1070 and to play a game or watch anything in HDR I have to change my Nvidia settings to YCbCr442 10 Bit to get HDR to work and then back to RBG 8 bit Full for everything else.

Is there any way I can create a script, batch file or some other way so that I could just click to load one or the other rather than changing the settings every time?

Thanks

Perhaps Nvidia Inspector would work as you can save different profiles, which can then be loaded with a shortcut pointing to the profilename.nip.

Just turn HDR on it windows 10 display option menu it then will auto switch. Been doing this for months

Steam big picture HDR is off
Launch a game it turns on.

Ive tried that mate. It only saves whats in manage 3D settings and nothing else, when I open the profile up in inspector I cant see anything relating to the display settings.

It won't let me switch it on without setting it to 422 10 Bit when I have "use Nvidia colour settings checked". If I check to "use the default colour settings" it works and looking at the settings underneath the HDR button it switches correctly to 422 10 Bit but turning it off reverts it to RBG limited but I want RBG full.

Is the anywhere outside of Nvidia I get set Windows colourspace to full instead of limited? If there is the HDR switch is perfect.

Any chance this old tool "Hotkey Resolution Changer" which also has colour depth would do the job? https://funk.eu/hrc/

I was wondering what happens if you set the options within Nvidia's control panel then used this tool to swap color depth.

Thanks, I gave it a go and It didn't work as I'm looking to change the range not the depth. Im after Full range at 0-255 rather than limited at 16-235 and I can't see an option on there to change it.

Might be possible to do it via rundll and the nvapi but don't have my head in it ATM.

Thanks for letting me know it may be possible, ill have a search around see if I can figure out rundll and nvapi :)

Well I couldn't get my head around it lol

I did find this though,

Its an RGB range toggler that was used before Nvidia added it to there control panel. After using that to set it to full range its saved the setting in the registry so exiting out of HDR now stays on RBG full.

So everything's working fine now and with setting NCP to use the default colour settings loading up a HDR game automatically switches it on and back off after exiting, so I'm well happy with that haha.
