Hey all
My brother's just bought a Creative Zen Vision M after having an iPod for a couple of years. A lot of his music is in m4a format which the Creative doesn't support, so I'm guessing he'll need to convert or re-rip it to get it onto the Zen. The m4a's are 160K but he also has a lot of 128K MP3s in the iTunes library as well.
Would just converting the while library outright to MP3 work ok? It'd be easy to do but I'm not sure how much quality will be lost in converting from m4a to MP3. Plus it would seem a bit pointless converting MP3s to MP3s. I know re-ripping would be the best option, but that would be really tedious to have to do again.
Also, if I was converting or re-ripping, what format and bit rate would people reccommend? MP3 at 128K seems like an obvious choice, but how would WMAs or VBR MP3s compare to that?
Thanks in advance
