Switching from PC to Console

HAs anyone made the switch successfully? I just can't imagine playing FPS games on a console (such as BLOPs 2).

I suppose I could get used to it but it's a tough call!

The immense auto aim in FPS games, particularly in the CoD franchise make aiming on a pad very easy.

Have both.................hate fps so much on a console id never buy a fps game on it, whereas i have quite a few on my pc

The auto aim is annoying if your used to playing on PC. I went through years of playing fps on console and you get used to it really. Plus some people have great skills on control pad, how they aim so fast I'll never know.

its all just adjusting i guess. u get used to aiming, however its the quality of the game, fps etc that will irritate u the most, from my experience anyway.

Took me about 6 months to get used to FPS games on PS3 - cannot wait to get a decent PC again

I don't play FPS.. so it dead easy. I did buy a laptop to play diablo 3 but not brought diablo 3 to play on it.

Don't bother switching, a console can't replace a PC. However, a console does compliment a PC, especially if you get a console in which friends game regularly on.

Sports games, driving games, arcade games - all better on the pad.

FPS, RTS, MMO, RPG's all better on the PC.

Coming from PC to console I don't think you'll ever play as effectively on pad as you would on mouse + keyboard, you can get to a point where you're pretty good though. Took me about a year to get fully comfortable with a pad on FPS but I got there, I play games on PC and consoles it just really depends what all my friends are getting.

I made the change and although at first you will struggle with FPS you will improve over time and eventually it will feel like second nature...

...however going back to mouse after takes some getting used to. Used to be able to jump around a corner and head shot every one in my view on CSS then get called a hacker...but now I seem to have lost that after playing with console.

Practice makes perfect...
