Morning everyone,

After months of random crashes in games that all seem to be ATI driver related I've managed to bag a new 3080.

I've not had an Nvidia card for over 10 years so I'm looking to find if there are any best practices when reloading my PC.

I have a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite with a 3700X and 2X16GB Crucial Ballistix Sport LT Gray Micron E-Die DDR4-3200 and a new MSI Gaming Trio Z RTX 3080.

Any top tips for what to install in which order would be great. I just want the damn PC to be stable for the one evening a week I get to game.

Thanks.

I don't know what price you got it for. Have you looked at the 4070 ti? If it's in the return window you might like to reconsider

Oh yeah regarding your topic other than ddu, you may also like to lookup nvcleaninstall.. it gets rid of driver bloat. It also let's you disable hdcp for latency improvement and you can assign negative irqs for better interrupt mgmt
