hi guys :)

I currently have 8MB BB from sky for an extra £5 per month on top of my telly package...

the thing is, the connection is not all that good, sometimes its great, othertimes not, and i can only ever get about 4.5Mbps on a line anyway so its not an 8MB line...

so basically, i'm asking if changing provider would help? could i just have a shoddy telephone line or summat?

i want consistency... fast and consistent... maybe i have to get cable?

What does the Sky router say you're connected at?
If it's saying 4.5Mbps, you aren't going to get much more from anyone else.

Post the line details from the router when everything is working well and also when everything seem to be running poorly.

what do you mean the line details?

it says this is that what you mean?

Modem
ADSL Firmware Version A2pB018e.d16f
Modem Status Connected
DownStream Connection Speed 5632 kbps
UpStream Connection Speed 416 kbps
VPI 0
VCI 38

right now its running nicely... its an 8MB line but showing 5632 so its still a bit off...
