Switching from Tiscali LLU to Be - disconnected?

I am switching from tiscali to Be* and I am getting the phone switched over to BT today.

Does that mean that as soon as that is completed my internet goes off or will the internet still work?

Although I know that every case is different but what sort of times are we talking to get connected to Be* once I place the order? (I have to wait for the line to be switched to BT first)

Were you on Tiscali LLU for the voice service as well?

If you were and you're returning the line to BT then yes, you'll lose the ADSL service as soon as it's done. The Be order would be as if you'd never had an ADSL service and would take a number of days.

Yeah I had voice as well. I thought it would go off but wondering if there would still work on the BT line.

What is number of days? 4-5 or more like 7-14?

Looks like its gone over. Says that my max line is 8mb. I guess ill go on the cheap package then.

Erm its showing that 02 broadband is available in my area now? When it wasnt before. I even asked them to check my exchange and they said it wasnt.

Ok which should I go with 02 or Be*?

I will have to phone them to check and confirm this is correct

O2 and Be are under the same ownership so it doesn't really matter that much. O2 offer discounts for their existing customers, which is what swung it for me. Having my mobile with them gets me £5 per month knocked off.

Yeah i went with O2. I have a mobile with them as well which also swung it for me.

Do they do a deal for 02 dongles as well if you are with them?

Not sure. They probably do for pay monthly ones. I also believe if you have a contract sim with unlimited web bolton you can use that sim in the dongle. Which by proxy would get you a saving as i think the web bolton is like £2.50 per month.
