I am currently on Tiscali LLU with their phone and broadband package and with my router dying last night and my contract expiring next month I am thinking about moving.

My question is as my line is not owned by BT do I have to switch that over to BT before I change to either Be* or O2 LLU or can it be done without?

If I have to change it to BT then if I decided to go with either Be* or O2 LLU does that mean that I have to pay £124.99 or whatever they are charging?

As at the moment they offer a free activation but with a 18month contract?

Thanks

Do Be* and O2 have their own phone services or are the LLU just for their broadband?

I am quite happy with staying with a BT line but I was wondering if the 18months thing worked with the free activation.

No Be/O2 don't offer phone services only broadband.

Switching to BT phone is free you have an active line so you just transfer to BT then sign up with Be/O2 once the line has been switched back another option could be to go with Sky they offer broadband and a talk plan.

From what I can see on BT site it's not 18month unless you get reconnected but what you are doing is switching to them so it should be 12months.

Cool thanks for that. I found out I only have the option of using Be* in my area anyway so looks like i will be going with them.
