Probably a stupid question, but what's the best approach, I see my EU plates dont have holes.

Do I just buy some plastic plate adaptors and screw them into the UK holes and then fit the EU plates into them?

First time driving a manual car in a decade, going to be interesting :D

How do you mean EU plates? Are you registering your car in a different country?

If you just want to put new number plates on you can just use adhesive strips, you can get them from eBay or amazon. In the UK at least you don't have to screw them on but i think some countries need them screwed and not just stuck on so worth checking.

Number plates don't usually have holes you have to drill them

If you use double side tape/pads make sure it is quality stuff - the cheaper stuff often doesn't take a few weather/heat cycles well and sooner or later loses its stick.

Unscrew old plates, mark holes in new plates, drill holes in new plates and screw them on...

Soooo decided to just drill them, marked up the old plates on them... started drilling (from the front?) and.. that's never happened before LOL

Edit: UK car registered in Spain because second hand car prices here are bonkers. 1/5 of the price makes wrong side inconvenience worth it imo.

New drill bit and it all went fine, thanks for the advice all!
