Is it possible to switch between vista & xp without rebooting when you have both os's...?
I have a dual boot with vista & xp, it gets annoying having to fully reboot just to load xp, then fully reboot again to get back into vista

Get yourself two PCs :)

I can't see this working without it having a negative impact on performance. Probably the best you could hope for would a change to the way the Hibernate function works, allowing you to have multiple OS' hibernated and then choose which one you want to activate on startup.

xen, never used it but it is a virtualisation thingy :p

edit: not implying that it can actually do it, you might just want to investigate it

Or vmware server which is ace and free.

well they're all free so that's a moot point. vmware is good but virtualbox is my weapon of choice nowdays. it's noticeably faster than vmware and also works in vista as the host system. i'm not sure if vmware server does....

i use vmware for linux and vista

also i also use it to automate my games by using bots on each virtual machine.

ya games do work, thanks to vmware tools/drivers
