Hey,

Just switched my broadband from a wonderful 1mb fixed speed connection on Talk Talk (formerly Tiscali) to Sky 20mb Unlimited and was told at first that I would require a MAC code to switch.

So, I got the MAC code from TalkTalk/Tiscali & gave Sky a call where I was then told that because I had a "certain type of line" that meant a MAC code wasn't required to switch?

Is this correct? :p

Ahh ok, at the moment I don't think it's LLU, so I'm switching directly to LLU with Sky which explains why there's no need for a MAC code.

Thanks very much for the reply, just wanted to make sure everything was correct. :)

At last count the voice service was by Carrier Preselection (i.e. they were paying BT on your behalf) though. There's a considerably difference between that and the voice service being handled by Sky's equipment.

Oh... :p Not sure what to do then, the Sky peoples said that there was no need for a MAC code, so what would you suggest? :)

Thanks again.
