I'm thinking of switching to Be Unlimited now that my exchange has (finally) been enabled for it. I was wondering if it's still as good as I was reading about a while ago?

My main question though, is how long can I expect my internet connection to be offline for when I'm switching? I'm currently on BT Total broadband and I'm just wondering as I've never switched from one broadband provider to another before. I'm guessing it might vary a bit, but want to know how long to expect it to possibly be offline for.

Thanks :D

If you use a MAC code then you'll only be offline for a short time - an hour or two at most.

Instead of Be, go for their parent company (o2). Contact the people on here who can get you the friends/family discount and you can get the equivalient of BePro for £7.50/month.

And yes, Be/o2 are still great :)

Oh great, I was expecting it might be offline for at least a few days.

Didn't even know that O2 did broadband, shows how much research I've done so far. Actually sounds quite good, I'm thinking of buying a mobile under O2 so could try and get that discount they have there.

What this about the friends/family discount?

Sounds like O2 are the best choice, I'm guessing because my exchange is enabled for Be it will also be enabled for O2 as they are the same company? couldn't seem to find any way to check on the O2 website.

Thanks for the help :)

That's exacly right /re the enablement for o2 :)

The friends/family discount is available to friends/family of o2 staff. Zombi3 on here regards you as a friend on the forums so contact him to ask about it :) It's half the price of the deal you'd get with an o2 mobile (£20 normally, £15 with o2 mobile, £7.50 with friends/family discount).
