Switching music between devices

Hey guys,

I bought a retina MacBook and some Bluetooth headphones for when I’m on the go.

im looking for the best way to switch my Spotify between my laptop and mobile phone when I’m using both devices.

or do i need to manually switch when wanting to use both devices?

When you use the Spotify app on your Mac and then move to your phone (and vice versa) it will keep your place regarding what you were listening to.

Ahh OK, the only thing is im on Monterey on my Mac mini, which I use dedicated BT earbuds or speakers for..

Will this feature still link up on my iPhone running iOS 15 and the MacBook Retina (I bought for out and about) so only a 2015 model running its most recent OS, Big Sur?

just been messing about, and the transition over my iPhone to my MacBook is pretty seamless..

I don't need to mess about with pairing, unpairing and all that jazz! Awesome!

its just using my phone and the interface is being used on the MacBook.

OK, done. Best solution, was to pair my iPhone, and the MacBook (headphones can support 2 connected devices at once, although can only play one source at a time), then when I go between the devices the headphones then interchange!

Also, I can still use the headphone App on my phone and control settings even when Spotify (or whatever) is playing on the Mac.
