Switching to Bing

I actually like Bing and I think most of the stick it gets is because it's a Microsoft product and nothing to do with how it functions. I really do think at the moment, on balance it's a better search tool

Yours,

W Gates.

There is nothing annoys me more at work than when IE sets itself to Bing as default and I accidently do a search in it. The results it brings up are utterly terrible and rarely relevant to what I want.

I also think MS in general are pretty awesome.

EXAMPLE: Do a search for a small bird that is also a womans body part in Google and Bing. Only one brings up what 99% of the world want.

I don't really get a choice and Google RoXorZ.

I've noticed Bing isnt too bad aswell. Fresh installs of Internet explorer 8 default to it. I change it to google still as it's the norm now, But Bing is far from a bad search engine. It's pretty good from what I've seen. It no doubt suffers from the usual Microsoft stigma unfortunately.

There are a couple of google and bing comparison sites which search in both and display the results side by side.

I saw this search recomended for privacy, has anyone used it much? Seems a little slower to me but not by much.

Bing just passed my test.

Bing is the way to go guys, it recognises that when you search Racer X, you're obviously searching for the best metal band in existence in all of time and space.

Actually that Bing vs Google site just shows how bad Google really is at some stuff... but because it's the defacto search engine nobody notices!
